progress

I am finally making hair progress!! Below is a comparison of the lengths that I would have been at about a year ago and me just a week ago. Since the last photo I have also had a colour and a cut, so I am now less of a dark/ash blond and more of a mahogany. Sweet. Pictures of that to come...I suppose.

Some days I wish I were blond again...then I remember just how much of a pain it was to touch up the roots/how expensive it was. I guess we shall see what the summer holds in store.

PS: I also wish there were more photos of me sans red face from laughter/drink from this wonderful film noir themed grad night.

Look that was forgotten

I don't believe I ever posted this look, but I'm in love with the skirt. We just got some pants that have a similar style to them and are done in the same fabric:

We just had our 60/40 event, and although I had said I wouldn't spend over 200 bones, thirty over that hardly seemed that much of a big deal....

Look 1: Celia leggings (so hot, they have leather on the front pannel from just above the knee down) with Francesca sweater in Aubergine (reminds me of a sweater ballerina's would wear to warm up):

From the last couple of days:

Above I am wearing the Amy tank in black, with the Daniella skirt in Pewter. This skirt was very popular today. Walking through the mall I had men stopping me to tell me how unique it was, and little women feeling me up to see what the fabric was like. Successful day I'd say!

Here I am wearing the Suzi pleated pant with my Lola top in black...yesterday one of my customers told me I looked very Gossip Girl...and then proceeded to talk about edible undies with his co-worker. They were pretty hilarious. Another good day!

Yesterday I wore my grey Agnes sweater with my new black Denise skirt and army green wool thigh-highs. And of course, when I drove to work, there was no snow...and when I left, I had to leave the car behind because it would be a death trap on the roads in those conditions. Good thing I wore different clothing to work other than this short skirt and thigh highs.

Fifth day, fourth outfit

Not too much variation from the last outfit, same Fabian chinos with my Agnes grey v-neck sweater and Celine blazer. I really need to get some awesome belts, except (like so much of CM apparel) the CM ones are just so darn expensive and I need to STOP parting with money.

Fourth day, third outfit

I am wearing the nina scoop top in navy with the fabian chino's in khaki green. Shoes as requested by Kiki, are my new black desert booties by Joy & Peace.

Corey has offered to take photos instead of me continuing to use my mac book, as my silly little camera's timer and exposure refuse to work together, so I promise better looking photos soon!

Third day, Second Outfit

I am wearing the Nina scoop back top in navy stripes, Suzi pleated pants and "vintage" CM blazer.

Second day, First outfit

As I had said, when I began at Club Monaco they gift you an outfit so that you can wear their clothing and better sell it all. Here is the first outfit I was provided, at a grand total of probably over 300 bones.




I am wearing the Daniella skirt in pewter, Celine Flannel blazer and Agnes Sweater with knee socks.

I realize it's been a few days without my sporadic news, but its all because of good things I swear! Friday was my undergraduate convocation ceremony, so I am now officially a graduate of the Recreation and Health Education Program with a Bachelor of Arts in Cooperative Education :)

Also, on Wednesday I started my new part-time job at Club Monaco, so that with my second job has quickly been filling my days. I've already walked away with a gifted outfit worth over $300 and have managed to buy quite a few more outfits for under $200, so I will try to do more outfit posts like I did in the past.

With that being said, I hope to return to my more sporadic yet consistent posting soon!

GPOY: New Hair Edition

So yesterday I went to the wonderful Ebony, and had my hair touched up and cut. I kept toying with the idea of growing out my fringe, but in the end, the need to have something to add definition to my face won out. Each time I go to Eb I think I am as blond as I can get, and then I walk out:


I am quite the fan, I love what she does for my hair. And considering my hair was such an asymmetrical mess when I first went to her, I think she is doing a great job of helping me grow it all back out.

In other news, I have 5 or 6 pages left of my final paper for my final class of my undergraduate degree. ALMOST. THERE.

Indian Summer

One thing I love about going back to school is the back to school shopping. Even though I generally do not buy that much, this fall I seem to have picked up some essential and much needed pieces. Although I feel like I spent quite a bit, when I think back on it I only purchased one super expensive item this year and that was the fantastic Silence and Noise hooded bomber jacket from UO so I really should not worry; it would have been even much worse if I had bought the We Who See field boot (alas they did not have them at the Vancouver store).

Anyway, with that said most of my shopping occurred in second hand and vintage shops which I thoroughly recommend. What better way to find some amazing clothing that no one else will have? Although, with that said, I have tons of vintage dresses that I need to alter...maybe I'll make my Friday's sewing project days.

Enough blabber, the reason I'm posting is to show off the amazing weather Victoria has been having and the opportunities I've been having to soak up some of that lovely sun (even though I've gone back to being a ghost).
