mom shorts

...similar to the mom jeans that hipster girls seem to be salvaging from the 80's section of the sally-ann, make me cringe. There were a plethora or styles and colours at Sasquatch, and what I have come to decide is that they make even the most fit girl look like they have a gunt. Not attractive in the slightest. If there is one girl that could make them look ok, it's Alix:

And to be honest, I still don't really like them. I do however, love the gingham bustier and her rad 50's shades.

oldies

images found at: smut to-go

Was feeling like a bit of a vintage change today, wore my new vintage camel coat out to dinner with the 'rents and family. Came back to find this ^ blog and my penchant for things of the past was further quenched.

Modcloth

I want it so bad!! It's the perfect little dress for any season, with polka-dots to boot! Kiera had a clothing swap last weekend and one of her friends that joined us had a great little dark blue polka-dot dress on that I adored, and this is just feeding off my desire for a similar dress!

eBay

I've been contemplating the idea of getting rid of some of my items of clothing via eBay for the past while, and have even taken the steps of setting myself up an account. Now I'm ready to commit! Of course I could try to sell some of my things locally, but in general, I'm not really sure how many people in Victoria are looking for the things I might be selling...which at the moment seems to be vintage dresses and skirts.

Here is a sneak peek at a few of the items that I am currently in the process of setting up on an my account, and once it is all set up, I will post a link to it!

I LOVE this little 70's dress, with the lace neckline and tie but unfortunately the waistband hits me higher than my waistline and sort of cuts across my ribs...

At one point in time I had planned on chopping this coral red dress with fantastic 80's ruffles so that it was an above the knee dress, but the fabric is so delicate that I don't have the heart to attempt it and possibly wreck it (also, red...not so much my colour). So instead I'll leave it to a more talented seamstress.

And finally, this adorable striped skirt is fantastic...but not for me because I do not have a 24-25 inch waist:

new pants

Happy pay cheque to me:

If you weren't already aware, I love anything that is vintage or is styled after vintage clothing so I am terribly excited to receive these in the mail:) Oh modcloth, you always seem to have something that provides me with warm fuzzy feelings.

Sociology 210

Is supposed to be about the history of sociological theory. My professor is a little French history professor teaching this class for the first time. I think he is swell because he likes to ramble and always has little anecdotes. Also, he talks about Brigitte Bardot:

Who is clearly a babe.
