pyrrha

I have a gift certificate for Violette Veldor that I have been meaning to use and now that they have a bit more stock I think I have decided on this beauty by Pyrrha:

The translations reads "nothing without effort" as a cherub reaches for a heart in the branches of a tree. It is too bad, or...good for them, that these necklaces now cost so much more than they did before. My first necklace (although tinier) was $80. This one is more than double that price. Thanks to old employers who give me gift certificates in recognition and old Christmas money from my Grandma and Uncle!

raw stones

Club Monaco just got a beautiful necklace in called the Drusi Pendant; it is made of crystal points jammed together and is only plated in silver around the edges of the pendant. I wish it did this all along the back because then the back wouldn't ruin your tops.

Raw stone necklaces have definitely become super popular lately and have made me go out on the hunt to see if I can find any reasonably priced items that I like. So far Urban Outfitters has been a successful bet, as well as etsy.com, so long as you know how to search for them.

Here are couple of beautiful pieces that have caught my eye and probably my wallet:

nesting

These amazing necklaces and rings are made by a local jewelery designer here in Victoria (I wish I knew by who, I'll update once I have leads). I think I know where my next ring purchase will be made!

Crow Skull

As some of you know by now, I have a penchant for all things morbid...and that includes skeletons. I have especially become intrigued by the trend towards casting bird skulls in silver and gold. While Kelsey and I stopped at Jonathan + Olivia we checked out the jewellery and noticed a beautiful crows skull, by which artist I do not remember...a woman, perhaps starting with P? Kelsey, do you remember?

Anyway, that has started me on the hunt for a more reasonably priced necklace, that fits into my budget. Enter Etsy, et voila!

Now I just need to start making money again so that I can spring for this beautiful piece of work.

Want want want...Clearly my morbid fascination with skulls has not let up.
