GPOY: New Hair Edition

So yesterday I went to the wonderful Ebony, and had my hair touched up and cut. I kept toying with the idea of growing out my fringe, but in the end, the need to have something to add definition to my face won out. Each time I go to Eb I think I am as blond as I can get, and then I walk out:

I am quite the fan, I love what she does for my hair. And considering my hair was such an asymmetrical mess when I first went to her, I think she is doing a great job of helping me grow it all back out.

In other news, I have 5 or 6 pages left of my final paper for my final class of my undergraduate degree. ALMOST. THERE.

Seagulls

This is usually what happens outside my window at the crack of dawn. It also happens at night. I find it quite frustrating. Corey does not seem to mind >_<

Hyperbole and a Half

You should probably go check out this blog ^, the chick who does all the wee comics is hilarious. And it is providing me with ample procrastination tools. Does anyone want to write my paper on why LG couples and how their families can help all families deconstruct gender norms/roles/expectations?

Eyewear

It is time for new glasses! I had an eye appointment Wednesday and forgot to take a camera with me (they used to let you take a couple of pairs home with you to help you decide), so all I have been able to do is find what I think are the two pairs that I am currently debating on, online.

This pair of Randy Jackson (oh god he is making glasses) are designed for men, but I quite like how they fit on my face:

Randy Jackson

I do not think this is the actual pair of Takumi glasses I tried on, but the colour is very similar. Less caramel tortoise, more brick. Just think of the ones above, but in this colour:

My lovely mum and I are going back today and I hope that she will help me in my decision. This time, I will take pictures to show them off, and let you know of the decision!

Graphite Art

modclothblog

Graphite smudges and writing-induced hand cramps feel increasingly foreign as computers replace pencils in the classroom and workplace, but artist Dalton Ghetti’s jaw-dropping sculptures prove that pencils are anything but obsolete. The Brazilian-American carpenter has carved his mini graphite pieces for about 25 years, using only a sculpting knife, razor blade, and sewing needle.
